Recycle your old cellphones and support American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society LogoCellular Recycler Logo Do you have an old cellphone you wish to recycle and at the same time help support Relay For Life (American Cancer Society)?

Homeowner #240 is here to help, they are setup as an official Cellular Recycler (Relay for Life Fundraiser – Cell Phone Recycling) collection point and would greatly appreciate, welcome anyone who wishes to stop by and donate their old cellphone(s) to this very worthwhile cause.

The below comes from Homeowner #240 and explains a little bit about Relay For Life and why they are collecting old cellphones to be recycled through Cellular Recycler.

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.

Philosophy – Why We Relay

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

Why Relay?

One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. The funds raised at Relay save lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts, and life-affirming patient services. It is because of your involvement that we are able to save lives, help those battling cancer, and empower all to fight back against the disease.

Additionally Homeowner #240 will have a drop-off point setup at the Grocery entrance of Walmart (Gravois Bluffs Blvd, Fenton MO 63026) on the following days (from 03:00pm to 07:00pm):

  • Thursday 10th May 2012
  • Thursday 24th May 2012
  • Thursday 7th June 2012

  1. My thanks to Mike for posting our events. I hope some of you will stop by with a few phones that you want to have recycled and talk with me a little about Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society. Thanks for your support.

    1. Since December 2011 we have turned in 113 phones, and earned $225.50 for the American Cancer Society, all through our Relay For Life Event to be held June 22, 6 PM at Moss Field in Webster Groves.

  2. I am still collecting old cell phones for recycling. It benefits The American Cancer Society through Cellular Recyclers and Relay For Life. As of Last years Relay For Life Event 2012 we have contributed $500 to put an end to cancers with research, cures, and prevention tips. Joan Carroll 240 Green Jade Estates Dr. Thank You.

  3. My Relay For Life Team is still collecting Cell Phones to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This money helps with research at our own St. Louis University and Washington University. It helps to maintain the Hope Lodge down on Lindell Blvd and provides rides to those who can’t get to and from Doctors visits and Chemo Treatments.
Please help by just dropping off your old cell phones at 240 Green Jade Estates Dr.
    Thank You,
    Joan Carroll
